The Line Ends:
Part of the Construction or Creation series, a body of work that aims to look at the relationship between the organic matter of life and that which is constructed by the organic matter of life. Is an iron crane, or a law of ethics any less organic than the human flesh? All matter comes from nature and all matter is created by organic life. As we construct new laws, develop morals, and build structures, the organic blueprint continues to unfold. Ultimately, what is man made and what is purely of nature? This collection studies the blurred lines within this theme.
Construction is an essential component of how the human mind works. We not only construct physical matter such as skyscrapers or industrial hangers, but also the concepts of time, ethics and so on. The world the human race lives in is largely a construction of our own cognitive nature. This piece aims to explore that dichotomy by utilising organic cloud like hazes against vivid rusty metals and structural elements. The piece encapsulates smooth misty tones contrasted against rough areas of pigment and deep interlapping structures. Visually bold, this piece is eye catching.
